The daily brief

The AIOS at Work workspace: four cards, worst first, each one thing that moved in the bank’s records. A card gives the finding, two sentences of explanation, a next step with the executive who owns it, and the figures those sentences were allowed to use. This morning the lead card is loans 30 or more days past due, at 1.15% of the book against 0.88% a year ago.

The short list is already on screen, rather than a menu of reports to go and find. Every card ends with a named person and a specific ask, so reading the brief produces four instructions rather than four things to look into.
